Ref PL2   Georgian Micro-ivory Ring

A high carat gold ring, circa 1780, the tapered hoop terminating in a compartment containing a multi-dimensional micro-ivory scene, set under crystal. On a painted ground of blue and brown, resembling rocks and mountains, a pair of travellers, with crook and sack, pause in a woodland glade. The ring is size N and 1/2 [US 6 and 3/4] and it can be sized. The oval front measures 1 and 1/8 inches by one inch. Finely detailed ivory carving, the whole in immaculate condition.
