Ref MM2 Coral Medusa
A Neapolitan coral relief carving, circa 1840, of the head of the Gorgon Medusa, after the antique. The Gorgon is depicted with tusks in her winged hair, and entwined around the carving is a high-carat gold serpent. The pendant is 1.5 inches long including gold bale, 1 and 1/8 inches long excluding bale and 2 inches wide. Fine relief carving, immaculate condition.
