A cat and a goblin

These are so wacky and charming, a cased pair of Georgian high carat gold fob seals, circa 1820. One is in the form of a rather forlorn looking cat and the other is a grinning goblin. Both sides of each seal have identical faces. The cat fob is set with an amethyst intaglio of an owl and the cat fob is set with a citrine intaglio of a running hound. Each fob is 3/4 of an inch tall excluding top loop and 1/3 of an inch wide across the base. Obviously designed as a private joke between two Georgians ….
