Teardrop amethyst pendant

A large and impressive amethyst teardrop pendant, circa 1890. It is 15 carat gold and set with an intensely violet amethyst of approximately 70 carats in an open backed setting. The pendant is 2 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide at its widest point. Vibrant and immaculate.
