Georgian cannetille earrings
High carat yellow gold Georgian cannetille earrings circa 1820 – 1830, of a particularly neat and wearable size. Cannetille was named after the gold embroideries of the Napoleonic years, a type of embroidery made from twisted gold or silver thread, with patterns in the form of rosettes and flowers. These cannetille earrings have their original reverse fittings. They are 1.5 inches long and 1/3 of an inch wide at their widest point. As light as a feather on the ear and in immaculate condition.
