I love you more than yesterday and less than tomorrow

A collection of seven 18 carat gold vintage French love tokens. They all have French marks for 18 carat gold and are inscribed with the motto : + qu’hier que demain. They are all from the firm of Augis which specialised in this form of jewel and they are all stamped Augis to obverse. The Augis love pendant (or Médaille d’Amour) was created in 1907 by this French jeweller in Lyon. The motto comes from Rosemonde Gérard (1871-1953),  a French poet and playwright who wrote a poem for her husband Edmond Rostand  : For, you see, each day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow. The four smaller pendants measure 3/4 of an inch by 1/2 an inch and the three larger measure one inch by 2/3 of an inch. The rubies are synthetic. All immaculate.
