Georgian ruby heart ring

A little poppet of a late 18th century ring. The high carat gold shank supports a head set with a natural Burma ruby in a heart shaped setting between rose-cut diamonds, all gems foiled and set silver. The reverse of the ring is rayed. It is size I and 1/2 [US 4 and 1/2] and in fine, original condition.
