Victorian diamond cluster ring
A plump and substantial Victorian diamond cluster ring, circa 1840. The 18 carat gold shank supports a cluster head of old-cut diamonds, set silver, with diamond shoulders. The ring is size L [US 5 and 1/2] and can be sized. The gem-set head measures 3/4 of an inch by 1/2 an inch. As the ring is open backed it is suitable for everyday wear. The total diamond content is approximately two carats of old-cut diamonds. A quite luscious example of a 19th century cluster ring.
