Georgian harlequin necklace

A pretty harlequin multi-gem necklace, circa 1820 – 1830. It is 9 carat gold and set with imperial golden topaz and almandine garnets in foiled and closed back cut-down settings, to an integral amethyst clasp. The necklace is 16 and 1/2 inches long and 1/2 an inch wide. As it is of substantial weight it sits well on the neck and does not roll forward. Fine quality and immaculate.
