Georgian chrysoberyl ring

Fine quality Portuguese chrysoberyl plaque ring, circa 1780. The tapered high carat gold shank supports a curved plaque densely pavé-set with vivid sea-green chrysoberyl, interspersed with garnets. There is typically Portuguese gold bead detail to the surround. The ring is size R [US 8 and 5/8] and can be sized. The head of the ring measures 1 and 1/8 inches by one inch. The ring sits well on the finger due to its curved shape and is immaculate.
