Berlin iron bracelet

A Berlin bracelet circa 1820, in the Geiss vine leaf design with openwork floral clasp. Berlin iron jewellery is something of an oxymoron. A contributing factor to its success was the popular young Queen Luise of Prussia introducing Grecian style dresses and Berlin iron jewellery to the Prussian court. This Berlin bracelet is 7.5 inches long. The links are 1 and 2/3 inches wide and the clasp measures 2 and 1/4 inches by 1 and 2/3 inches. In immaculate, rust free condition.
