French flower ring

Pretty French flower ring, circa 1820. The high carat gold shank supports a plaque set with a ground of royal blue glass surmounted by a central old-cut diamond and stylised diamond tulips within a surround of rose-cut diamonds, all gems set silver. The reverse of the ring is decoratively engraved. The ring is size O and 1/2 [US 7 and 1/4] and the head of the ring measures 1 and 1/8 inches by 3/4 of an inch. Substantial and immaculate.
