Firmament

An unusual form of  firmament ring, circa 1800. It is high carat gold and set with a central plaque of royal blue guilloche enamel sprinkled with tiny diamond stars, to emulate stars in the night sky. The plaque is within a surround of royal blue and white enamel bordered by tiny pearls. The ring is size P [US 7 and 1/2] and can be sized, and the head of the ring measures 1 and 1/4 inches by 3/4 of an inch. Fine quality and immaculate.
