Harlequin pendant

Harlequin pendant

An early 18th century aigrette converted to a pendant in the 19th century. It is silver and set with a harlequin array of gems in foiled and closed back settings – rubies, garnets, amtheyst, emeralds, topaz, rose-cut diamonds and opals with a sapphire drop. The pendant is 2 and 1/4 inches long and 1 and 1/4 inches wide. Glorious colours, immaculate.
