Victorian amethyst rivière

A sumptuous amethyst rivière circa 1840. It is nine carat gold and set with intense violet amethysts over cerise foil in closed back settings. There are 285 carats of amethysts in total. The rivière is 16 inches long. The largest amethysts front centre measure 3/4 of an inch by 2/3 of an inch and the smallest next to clasp measure 2/3 of an inch by 1/2 an inch. Glorious colour, immaculate condition.
