Georgian musical fob seal

An 18 carat gold fob seal circa 1820, which would have been an expensive toy and amusement at the time. The gold seal is ornately chased with floral motifs and encloses a miniature music box which plays a tune when wound from the top. Quite a long tune! It is 1.5 inches tall and 3/4 of an inch wide. Beautifully constructed and immaculate. I’ll send those of you on my mailing list a little video of it doing it’s thing so you can hear the music.
