I haven’t seen a pair of these for years. Georgian 18 carat gold earrings circa 1820, in the form of an ouroboros, a serpent swallowing its tail. The gold is engraved to resemble serpent scales and the heads are set with rose-cut diamonds and garnet eyes. The earrings have reverse fittings and measure 3/4 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch. Immaculate.
