Georgian topaz cluster ring
Pretty Georgian cluster ring, circa 1780. The high carat gold trifurcated shank supports a cluster head set with an Imperial golden topaz within a surround of rose-cut diamonds. All gems are foil backed and set silver. The reverse of the ring is rayed. The ring is size L and 1/2 [US 5 and 7/8] and the head of the ring measures 1/2 an inch by 1/3 of an inch. In immaculate condition with the distinctive steely hue of Georgian diamonds.
