A giardinetti ring, circa 1760, typical of the mid-18th century taste for the light, elegant and graceful. The gold shank supports a silver openwork bezel in the form of a bouquet set with garnet, rubies, emeralds and rose-cut diamonds. The ring is size J [US 4 and 5/8] and the gem-set head measures 3/4 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch. Completely original and immaculate.
