Love and nurture

Love and nurture

Georgian gems presented to loved ones were subtly symbolic. This high carat gold ring with tapering shank circa 1820, represents nurturing love. The vibrant veridian green guilloche enamel ground denotes nurture and it is surmounted by a wild rose, symbol of immortal love and a union that will never fade, executed in rose-cut diamonds. The plaque is set within a surround of rose-cut diamonds.  The ring is size N and 1/2 [US 6 and 3/4] and the head of the ring measures one inch by 2/3 of an inch. Charming, fine quality and immaculate.
