Grumpy men in the moon

A 15 carat gold bracelet, circa 1900, set with six drôle, grumpy men in the moon carved from hydrogrossular green garnets. Hydrogrossular garnet is an unusual gemstone. It is defined by its opaque green colour and usually found with black inclusions which are pepper-like crystals of chromite.  The bracelet is 7 and 1/2 inches long but my jeweller can easily shorten it to fit a smaller wrist size. Each moon face measures 1/2 an inch by 1/2 an inch. Whimsical, unusual and immaculate.
