Harlequin mourning ring

A most unusual and joyful permutation of a Georgian mourning ring, dated 1822. The gold and silver hoop is set fully round with a harlequin array of gemstones including citrine, garnet, ruby, pink and blue sapphire, amethyst, pearl, agate and rock crystal. It is inscribed to interior : Elizabeth Cecelia Moore Ob. 29 July 1822 at 39. The ring is size N [US 6 and 1/2] and the hoop is 1/8 of an inch wide. A celebration of a life.
