Man in the moon

A carved moonstone man in the moon ring, circa 1900. The 18 carat gold decorative shank supports a carved man in the moon in a platinum, black enamel and rose-cut diamond surround. The ring is size K and 1/2 [US 5 and 3/8] and can be sized, and the head of the ring measures 1/2 an in by 1/2 an inch. Very fine moonstone carving on such a miniature scale and immaculate.
