Perpignan garnet bracelet

A high carat gold bracelet set with Perpignan garnets, circa 1820. Perpignan garnets are now rare gems which came from the Roussillon region of French Catalonia. They are recognised by their vivid and vibrant raspberry hue. The mines for these gems were depleted over a century ago. The garnets are set in foiled and closed back settings. The bracelet is 6 and 3/4 inches in length, 1/4 of an inch wide and in immaculate condition.
