Ruby and  diamond heart ring

A co-joined ruby and diamond heart ring surmounted by a bow-ribbon, circa 1840. The message of love conveyed by this jewel is through the use of the gems – ruby for passionate love and diamond for constant and enduring love. The shank is 18 carat gold, the Burma ruby measures just under 1/2 a carat and the cushion-cut diamond measures 0.30 points. Both gems are within a surround of rose-cut diamonds. The ring is size N [US 6 and 1/2] and can be sized. Very fine quality and immaculate.
