Pair of saphiret bracelets

A pair of saphiret bracelets, circa 1900. Saphiret is an antique colour change glass produced in Bohemia in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was made by fusing gold into blue glass, resulting in a distinct look that appears rose or bronze-pink with a glowing blue or lavender flash. Production stopped because using real gold made manufacturing too expensive and the original recipe was eventually lost. This pair of bracelets are saphiret set gilt metal. They are 7 inches long though can be adjusted to fit a 6.5 inch wrist and they are 1/3 of an inch wide. Immaculate.
