Saphiret bracelets

Pair of saphiret bracelets

Saphiret is an antique colour change glass produced in Bohemia in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was made by fusing gold into blue glass, resulting in a distinct look that appears cocoa brown, rose, or bronze-pink with a glowing blue or lavender flash. Production stopped because using real gold made manufacturing too expensive. The original recipe was eventually lost.
