Most delightful bracelet, circa 1840, a souvenir of love. The bracelet is 18 carat gold and each letter of the word souvenir is enamelled with roses or ivy, symbols of love and devotion, in gold surrounds in the form of forget-me-nots. The blue enamel clasp set with a pearl star takes the form of an opening locket. As the Victorians loved a toy or amusement, the articulated bracelet sections concertina into each other. The bracelet is 7 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide. Very fine quality and immaculate.
