A fine quality high carat gold Etruscan revival fringed necklace circa 1860, which was obviously a much prized family heirloom. The high carat gold Brazilian link chain has suspended from it a graduated series of gold beads with wire work decoration and coral beads. The necklace is 15 and 3/4 inches long. The clever construction of balancing the gold beads and backing the coral beads with gold discs means it sits well on the neck and does not turn. The necklace is in its original fitted case inscribed Tipping heirloom 1863. Very fine Victorian gold work, immaculate.
