Love

A fabulously chunky heart, circa 1820. The high carat gold heart is chased and engraved. The obverse is set with pavé turquoise and the reverse spells love in the acrostic manner in gemstones – lapis, opal, vermeil, emerald. It is a functioning padlock and can also be worn as a pendant. The heart measures 1 and 1/4 inches by 3/4 of an inch and is very fine quality, all original and immaculate.
